Sr. Salesforce Developer at Doctor on Demand

Job Overview:

The Salesforce Developer will be the primary point of contact for business units that require development, maintenance, configuration, reporting and training in Salesforce. You will interface with various teams and produce reporting needed on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. You will also drive automation of processes, develop new applications, and manage the integrations to our various business systems for our environment. This includes technical design, development, configuration, maintenance, administration, and integration with other services.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Development, configuration, and administration of Salesforce and integration with other DOD services/platforms.

  • Responsible for developing in, Lightning, Visualforce, Apex, Java, AJAX, JavaScript, and other technologies to build customized solutions that support business requirements and drive key business decisions.

  • Setting best practices including integration and application development, deployment, testing (unit and systems), and iterative refinement.

  • Seek out ways to utilize to improve processes and productivity, and make recommendations to support an organization scaling at a rapid pace

  • Perform technical analysis, level-of-effort estimation, design, development, implementation of applications with necessary customizations and integration

  • Perform systems maintenance, environment refresh, data integration duties

  • Evaluating complex business and technical requirements, communicating inherent security risks and solutions to technical and non-technical business owners.

  • Responsible for the company’s relationship with and the setup and administration of Salesforce.

  • Gather business requirements from a diverse number of users and translate requirements into scalable solutions.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field

  • Certified Salesforce Administrator (ADM-201) or equivalent experience

  • Certified Salesforce Platform Developer I or equivalent experience

  • Experience with Lightning Design System and creating custom components.

  • Proven experience creating Visualforce pages, Lightning Components, Apex classes and triggers.

  • Solid understanding of and experience with the Salesforce architecture and API

  • Experience with integrations and knowledge of integration patterns (REST & SOAP, JSON & XML, etc.)

  • Knowledge of integrations, third-party integration tools and ETL with Salesforce

  • In-depth understanding of the capabilities and constraints of the Salesforce CRM application coupled with good understanding of the business processes (Sales, Marketing, Partner Management, etc.)

  • 3+ years of Salesforce development experience using Apex, Visualforce, triggers, batch Apex and Salesforce APIs

  • Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams

Additional Requirements:

  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II or equivalent experience

  • Enabling information security as a core competency in DOD’s use of third party cloud services.

  • Results-oriented person with a delivery focus

  • Strong organization skills

  • Handles multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
