As the Director of Analytics & Research, you will:

  • Drive vision for predictable and scalable analytics solutions that drive elevated business outcomes and client value, both internally and externally
  • Optimize data sources for integration and alignment with product roadmaps
  • Lead research and analytics consultation for cross-functional initiatives with groups like Sales, Client Success, Product, Marketing, Engineering, Finance
  • Manage a diverse and strong team of Business Analysts, Database Developers, Researchers and Marketing Scientists
  • Drive knowledge sharing and thought-leadership across the organization, encouraging all teams to lead with a data mindset
  • Oversee the design and delivery of data analytics for digital campaign performance, customer insights, social trends, product and IT trends
  • Lead custom analytic projects including scoping, design, visualization and presentation
  • Oversee the design & delivery of custom quantitative & qualitative research
  • Oversee operations, including revenue/project pipeline, priorities and resource allocation, vendor/outsourcer management, legal, accounting, staffing and team administration
  • Participate in industry events/public-speaking opportunities (e.g., SpiceWorld)


As the Director of Analytics & Research, you have:

  • Out-of-this-world project management skills — you can multi-task and complete complex projects flawlessly and under tight deadlines
  • Expertise in client management — you build and maintain strong, healthy relationships, and can successfully manage multiple relationships simultaneously
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment
  • Stellar interpersonal skills and proven ability to work successfully with management, cross-functional teams and customers
  • 8+ years’ experience managing people
    • Strong leadership skills – you are a natural advocate and can develop, lead, inspire, and support a healthy interdisciplinary team
  • 7+ years’ experience in data analytics
    • Experience with digital campaign analytics and deriving actionable business insights from unstructured, distributed and diverse data sets
    • Experience with text analysis/social analytics
    • Experience using data insights to compliment traditional research findings
    • Familiarity with SQL, Python, Tableau, BigQuery
  • 5+ years’ experience in market research
    • Applied knowledge of market research, including sampling methodology, survey development, data analysis and visualization
    • Experience with advanced analytic methodologies, such as conjoint, market simulations, segmentations, derived importance, etc.
    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to dissect data to tell a compelling story
    • Familiarity with survey platforms (e.g., Decipher, Confirmit, Qualtrics, etc.) and tools like SPSS, R, and Tableau
