We’re looking for a Director of Market Strategy (EMEA & APAC strategic accounts), to leverage expertise and deep knowledge of Spiceworks’ best-in-class solutions. You’ll establish and grow large, long-term partnerships with EMEA & APAC top clients and emerging accounts with the greatest opportunity for growth. As a Director of Market Strategy, you’ll partner with both in market and global sales, client success, and delivery teams to bring the best possible campaign strategies to EMEA/APAC accounts.


A core part of the role is also maintaining strong knowledge of in-market trends and proactively informing global product engineering and marketing teams with a view to ensure Spiceworks’ local market solution set addresses local account needs.

Your day-to-day (as Director, Market Strategy, you’ll):


  • Drive EMEA/APAC business results, cultivating mutually beneficial, long-lasting relationships with strategic customers
  • Interact with clients to proactively address needs; provide thought leadership and solve business problems that drive satisfaction
  • Learn and understand business requirements of target accounts and build strategic platforms accordingly
  • Develop localised strategic game plans that align with global account strategy
  • Grow clients over the long-term and achieve EMEA/APAC revenue growth goals in the process
  • Create and implement customized digital plans and solutions based on clients’ business problems and/or initiatives
  • Apply a deep understanding of data and utilize it to enhance relationships
  • Be a thought leader acutely plugged into the digital space and seek ways to leverage platforms that enable your clients
  • Help build and communicate strategic recommendations with coherent and creative presentations
  • Build trust and gain confidence between the client and yourself through insightful presentations and in-person interactions
  • Brainstorm ways to grow the account and consistently deliver value
  • Work cross-departmentally to bring your strategic recommendations to light and ensure the client’s perceived value is being realized



Qualifications: What does it take to do this job?

  • A wealth of experience in marketing / communications or planning, publisher or agency a plus
  • Account planning or digital strategy experience a plus
  • Track record of driving real results through creative planning and program implementation
  • Hungry to get in front of a client and show your expertise and prowess
  • Knowledge of interactive, CRM, web analytics and other technologies enabling today’s savvy marketer
  • Experience reading and interpreting data intelligence at a high level to inform decision making or recommendations
  • Ability to showcase expertise of digital properties and how they can enable technology organizations looking to go-to-market
  • Displayed understanding of complex needs from the client and ability to translate them into actionable programs
  • Creative thinker constantly looking for ways to problem solve — even if the answer isn’t obvious
  • Willing and able to contribute directly to team efforts and results
  • Highly motivated with experience in building client relationships and expansion of accounts
  • Interest in and aptitude for creative business and marketing solutions
  • Ability to identify strategic needs, lead all aspects of planning with sound business recommendations, and generate alignment with key business partners
  • Excellent presentation skills that encompass clear, compelling communications
  • Experience navigating large and complex organizations, including gaining access to key executives and stakeholders and successfully managing relationship building dynamics and processes
  • Ability to self-manage multiple business initiatives in an entrepreneurial environment, as well as managing team-assigned projects
  • Expert knowledge of all product solutions and capabilities
