Events Coordinator at Poppin

Poppin is seeking a passionate Events Coordinator to join our Marketing team in our New York office. This person will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of events hosted in Poppin’s showrooms, as well as coordinating any outside events Poppin participates in. This role requires a collaborative, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Marketing Leadership in planning and executing Marketing events across the country
  • Maintain database of vendors in every city and negotiate all contracts for catering, rentals, AV equipment, etc.
  • Serve as point person for all vendors and building management personnel at each Poppin Showroom
  • Create Eventbrite landing page and manage RSVP list/check in process
  • Coordinate event deliverables within Marketing and cross departmentally
  • Oversee staffing, setup, and breakdown for all events
  • Track and assess event metrics in a timely and professional manner
  • Build and maintain event budgets, ensuring events are completed within pre-approved forecast
  • Research and compile a schedule of relevant events going on in key Poppin markets
  • Ensure and account for the important details: check in, coat check, gift bags, etc.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Marketing/Sales/Customer Experience role required, event experience preferred
  • Experience working in a start-up environment preferred
  • Exceptionally strong organization skills and communications abilities
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and/or Eventbrite preferred
  • Willing and able to travel as needed
