We're a supportive, down-to-earth team of researchers who work closely with designers, engineers, and product managers to discover, validate, and iterate on well-crafted user experiences. Your Role And Impact

You will plan, recruit participants, and conduct multi-method research that answers big questions, and shapes our in-product, and real-world experiences. You're the kind of person who flourishes when collaborating with designers and cross-functional peers, and you ask effective (sometimes provocative) questions that help teams increase trust, safety, and create delightful experiences for our community of hosts and guests. Moreover, you will report to and collaborate with our Lead UX Researcher to help us optimize our research practice, tools, and process as we grow our research capabilities.


  • Create a deep understanding and empathy for our customers by researching the entire customer journey, with methods such as exploratory qualitative interviews, quantitative surveys, evaluative usability testing (remote and in-person, moderated, and unmoderated), diary studies, and other methods you find practical and impactful—we love creative approaches!
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to identify research topics, create research plans, and manage a research roadmap.
  • Analyze and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to generate insights and actionable recommendations to drive product innovation and design improvements.
  • Participate in product design evaluation critique to inform decisions from definition to launch (and after), working at both a big picture and granular level.
  • Evangelize research insights throughout the company, to help build intuition and sustain an informed and empathetic organization.


  • 2+ years of UX-focused agency or in-house professional experience
  • Experience with the pillars of UX research (Research Design & Planning, Recruiting, Interviewing, Usability Assessment, Synthesis & Presentation)
  • Experience with recruiting and coordinating research projects with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication, presentation, social and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
  • Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology or related field, or equivalent practical experience
