Social Responsibility and Marketing Officer at Starship

Starship Technologies is developing the future of delivery – self-driving robots that bring parcels, groceries and food to people around the world. We care about how humans and robots integrate within society in the future, and the Starship Marketing team plays a key role in shaping how this future looks. We’re now looking for a Marketing & Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Officer to lead the social responsibility program for Starship around the world. This includes collaborating with local and national organisations and charities to promote the social and community benefits of our robots whilst supporting the marketing team with new activations, launches and other functions.

Your normal work duties will include, but are not limited to:

    • Responsible for leading Starship’s CSR efforts around the world
    • Engaging, interacting and developing Robot Delivery pilots (short and long term) with local organizations and charities to assist with social acceptance, public affairs and brand reputation
    • Presenting, meeting and building relationships with local and national organisations, charities and schools.
    • The CSR Communications Manager will also assist the Marketing and Communications team with events, media requests, product launches and other aspects related to this area of the business

You will primarily work with:

    • Starship EU and US Operations (San Francisco, Washington DC, Hamburg, London and Tallinn)
    • Business Development in USA and EU
    • External partners in key locations

    • Have demonstrated experience working with charities, local or national organisations or schools 
    • Have hands-on experience in building and maintaining relationships with business partners 
    • Have experience presenting to large and small groups of people about your company 
    • Can work cross-functionally with business development and operations 
    • Proven ability to be resourceful and adaptable in a dynamic business context, and is comfortable working with uncertainty and rapid change 
    • Have sound social awareness and strong creative thinking skills
    • Have strong written and spoken English and are a natural communicator 
    • Are willing to work flexible hours across different time zones where required
    • Are able to travel

Minimum Qualifications:

    • 3+ years experience in Marketing
    • Experience of working on social responsibility programs or at a not-for-profit
    • Proven ability to collaborate across cultures, geographical areas and cross functional teams
    • Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

    • B.Sc/BA in Business Management / Marketing / Communications 
    • Experience in a not-for-profit or have worked with charities
