The Pill Club is an exciting Fem-Tech/Health-Tech company empowering women to make decisions about their health, judgment-free, from their smartphone. Our members no longer have to go to unnecessary doctor visits, pay marked-up pharmacy prices, or wait in line for their birth control.
 
At the moment, the Pill Club prescribes and delivers birth control directly to our members, along with a care package of goodies, filled with chocolate and other great samples. But we want to do more, and we are looking for a great Senior Accountant to help us do it.

The Ideal Candidate Should

Responsibilities:

    • Manage the day-to-day activities cash disbursements, inventory, fixed assets, general & entity accounting.
    • Develop, implement, and manage financial controls in accordance with GAAP and in alignment with the Company's history, culture and values
    • Safeguard assets and assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of accounting policies, procedures and controls across the department.
    • Support the Company's strategic growth plans through managing the financial performance of the Company, working with outside auditors, and maintaining banking relationships.
    • Interface with outside audit firm, internal business partners and finance partners
    • Assist with quarterly reviews and annual/internal control audits
    • Monitor and research accounting standards and technical issues affecting the company and ensure appropriate documentation and disclosure of the accounting impact
    • Prepare general ledger closing entries and assist with monthly financial reports
    • Align company hierarchy structure with strategic initiatives

Minimum Qualifications:

    • 5 years experience as a Senior level Accounting Manager
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance
    • CPA license is required
    • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with general accounting, month end close procedures, eliminations and consolidations, controls, internal reporting & analytics, and working with external auditors
    • Deep knowledge of US GAAP
    • Conceptual and practical experience in researching, understanding and communicating technical accounting issues
    • Strong leadership, analytical, and project management skills
    • Ability to work on cross functional activities and form solid business relationships
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Google Suite

Desirable Qualifications:

    • Healthcare or Tech Start Up experience strongly preferred
    • Public accounting experience preferred
    • Investor backed / Funded Company experience
