Job Description

The ideal candidate will be a genetics professional with training and experience in clinical genetic testing. Responsibilities include literature and variant review and curation to support accurate variant classification in a high-volume, population health framework. In this position, you will also work closely with medical geneticists, genetic counselors, and  clinical lab and bioinformatics scientists. As a team, our aim is to improve health through innovative ways of making quality genetic services more accessible and affordable. 
Color’s innovations in software, processes, and sequencing are lowering prices and providing greater access to genetic testing. The information learned from genetic testing allows for earlier detection of cancer and cardiovascular disease, data-driven and risk reduction, and medication management. ●      Deep understanding of clinical genetic diagnosis, human genetics, and biology.
●      Familiarity with NGS clinical testing, databases, tools, and resources commonly used in interpretation of genomic data.
●      Experience with genetic variant curation and/or sequence variant classification based on the ACMG guidelines is highly desired.
●      Experience on literature curation as part of the process of interpreting clinical results and/or clinical variant classification/interpretation.
●      Ability to critically analyze medical and scientific literature with outstanding attention to details.
●      A degree in Human Genetics, Molecular Genetics, or appropriately-related field is required.
●      Experience working as part of a clinical laboratory is a plus.
