About the Role:
 
Imperfect Foods is looking for a customer-focused Total Rewards Specialist (Payroll, Benefits & HRIS) who wants to use their strong analytical skills and benefits experience to manage the day-to-day administration of our group health and welfare benefits programs; plus provide support for payroll and other areas of our Total Rewards offerings.
 

What you'll get to do:

    • Day-to-day administration of our group health and welfare benefits programs
    • Assist employees, partners, and vendors to resolve benefit and payroll issues
    • Manage ongoing benefits enrollment processes and act as primary contact with our electronic enrollment vendor
    • Monitor data integrity of benefit enrollments and payroll deductions; resolve issues with vendors, consultants and payroll
    • Serve as primary back-up for our payroll administrator and perform benefit deduction audits
    • Ensure employee information as it relates to benefits program eligibility and enrollment is accurately recorded and provided to the benefit providers in a timely manner. Audit reports and records as necessary
    • Assist with the development and coordination of a system-wide wellness program
    • Develop compensation and benefits related communication processes
    • Develop and prepare communications and establish processes and systems for the annual benefit enrollment program
    • Assist with researching and monitoring competitiveness of current compensation and benefit programs and legislative requirements; Recommend changes as appropriate
    • Participate on Imperfect's behalf in compensation and benefits surveys
    • Perform job analysis, write job descriptions, assign job codes and recommends salary grade assignments using market survey data and point factor software
    • Assist in the research and development of compensation programs (e.g., policy/procedure changes, salary structure adjustments, and merit budget proposal)
    • Utilize compensation planning database to assist with the process including: download data from HRIS system, perform system set-up, and report generation
    • Assist in the implementation and administration of the annual merit and compensation cycle
    • Perform all other duties, at the discretion of management, as assigned

What we expect you've already done:

    • Worked in Total Rewards, benefits administration, HR, payroll, or related area for at least 3 to 5 years
    • Shown a proficiency in analyzing and managing sensitive personnel data
    • Built strong computer and Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel; and shown an aptitude in Payroll Administration
    • Earned a B.A. or B.S. Degree
    • Successfully completed the SHRM-CP, PHR, APA, CBES or CCP certification program (preferred)

Physical Requirements:

    • Sedentary work; predominantly involves sitting most of the time
    • Standing desks and / or other ergonomic accommodation is available upon request
    • Walking, climbing stairs, and standing are required only occasionally
    • Regular work with computers, including keyboards, mouses, and screens; regular use of mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets also required
