WHO WE’RE SEEKING:

As a Sr. IT Operations Engineer, you'll provide world-class tech support to fellow Zwifters in a complex environment while collaborating heavily with the Infrastructure and IT experts in our Long Beach Headquarters. You‘ll work independently, anticipating and responding to the needs of Zwifters in technical distress. Your suite of tech-savvy skills will enable you to profile, build, procure, and install approved SW/HW, diagnose any emergent hardware and software ailments, and maintain all IT equipment. Your communication skills and friendly personality ensure solid Zwift vendor relationships and comfort any Zwifter seeking high-tech help.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Be the owner of IT: investigate, troubleshoot, and fix problems when needed; utilize IT systems and procedures to continuously improve service methodology
  • Maintain, inventory, troubleshoot and repair computing infrastructure and hardware including printers, workstations, switches, Wifi and VPN.
  • Communicate with the team, including leadership, to provide key problem status updates and ensure compliance with Zwift standards and security/compliance policies
  • Work with your peers in our Long Beach HQ to grow and evolve our current systems and tools, improving efficiency and collaboration between Zwifters globally
  • Ensure that Team Zwift is prepared for the challenges of rapid growth and changing requirements.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • 7+ years IT experience with a wide range of technology, including 3 years of IT supervisory/management experience
  • Extremely customer-service oriented
  • Strong time management and organization skills; able to prioritize multiple requests effectively and autonomously
  • Experience rolling out changes to organizations with over 200 employees
  • Adept at leading training and making others comfortable with technology
  • Displays a passion for improving systems, process-building, and documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to anticipate problems before they arise and take preventive action or escalate recommendations appropriately
  • Demonstrated alignment with Zwift’s mission, values, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
    • Service or help desk experience
    • Experience with Google Apps Suite
    • Experience installing, configuring and maintaining Windows and OSX
    • Managing VPN, telecommunications, VoIP, and video conferencing
    • Must have experience working and negotiating with vendors and consultants
    • Experience with a ticketing system such as Jira
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

BONUS POINTS:

  • Configuring firewalls, switches, routers, VPN, WAPs, and a multi-site WAN
  • Experience with EDR software (endpoint defense and response - Antivirus, Antimalware)
  • Using network protocol analyzers, such as Wireshark
  • Experience with single sign-on systems such as Okta, OneLogin, using SAML / WS-Federation.
  • Basic to advanced knowledge of corporate networking and security practices
  • Support Amazon Web Services (AWS), VPC, EC2 instances, VPN for the Cloud hosted environments, provision infrastructure, run services on AWS and create fault tolerant system on AWS.
