Nextdoor is seeking an experienced Content Marketing Manager for its growing Small Business Marketing team. Creating authentic, engaging, and educational content is integral to achieving our goal. We’re looking for someone to lead our content marketing efforts to increase adoption of and engagement with Nextdoor’s offerings. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for full-funnel content marketing programs across multiple channels and content types including, but not limited to, blog posts, whitepapers, infographics, and webinars.


  • Own Nextdoor's SMB organic channel including creating marketing content, driving SEO, generating PR, and managing social to build self-serve adoption of our small business services
  • Develop and execute on a comprehensive search engine optimization strategy, including a plan to improve search engine results pages (SERPs)
  • Understand the customer journey and develop a personalized content plan for maximizing engagement and customer success
  • Partner with cross-functional teams in product, customer success, communications, sales, and design to develop content for lifecycle email campaigns and cross-sell programs
  • Create a repository of demand generation content such as ad and landing page copies, trigger emails, case studies etc.
  • Structure ongoing tests to measure program impact and effectiveness of copy, creative and channel
  • Own content success metrics and analytics and obsessively track and measure results, gather insights and optimize content for conversion
  • Evaluate market trends and product fit to develop targeted messaging for real estate agents and small business owners
  • Ensure content is on-brand, consistent in tone, and complies with SEO best practices
  • Contribute to social media postings and management of social media accounts and content calendar
  • Partner with our Customer Success team to tap into our customers’ enthusiasm and advocacy; tell their stories through case studies, blog posts, videos, and webinars


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, journalism, communications, or a related field
  • 5+ years of content marketing/content strategy experience
  • Proficiency in SEO, Salesforce, and Google Analytics
  • Experience marketing to small businesses
  • Experience working both strategically as well as in an executional capacity for content development
  • Excellent editorial, communications, and project management skills as well as exceptional attention to detail
