Senior Financial Analyst at Spire

We are looking for a finance professional to manage the planning, forecasting, and reporting for multiple business units within Spire. This role will work alongside another financial analyst and help support the CO-CFO.

The position is responsible for business unit financial support of multiple departments within Spire. You will be given controllership responsibilities and work on the company’s financial planning and forecasting processes, helping to improve the company’s financial reporting, and help drive the growth of Spire.

This position provides an exciting opportunity to focus on multiple areas of the business. Position will be located in San Francisco, CA and report directly to the CO-CFO.

 

Responsibilities of your role:

The Senior Financial Analyst will be directly responsible for the following financial functions, including financial planning, budgeting, financial reporting and controls, financial forecasting and strategic operational planning. Duties to include:

  • Oversee preparation of accurate and timely annual budgets, monthly forecasts and strategic analysis as well as ongoing financial monitoring.
  • Provide financial support to multiple departments with monthly financial statements, management packages and ad hoc financial and trend analysis.
  • Collaborate with business unit and operational management to implement required processes/controls and provide required financial reporting tools to properly control, support, grow and improve the businesses.
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting (actual and forecasts) and develop business practices in line with expanding operations.
  • Develop, interpret and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control.
  • Assist with the administrative support of the financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting tool Adaptive Insights.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting & Business Reporting teams to implement required processes/controls and provide required financial reporting tools to properly control, support, grow and improve the businesses.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field
  • 4 – 10 years of progressive experience in Finance
  • Must have a strong background in financial reporting
  • Have excellent leadership skills; strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in partnership with all functional organizations and executive leadership
  • Must be an effective and persuasive communicator
  • Able to inspire credibility, build trust and create enthusiasm with management and staff at all levels
  • Solid knowledge and experience with Excel/MS Office/Google and financial accounting software (preferably NetSuite & Adaptive Insights)
