Operations Field Assistant - Bay Area CA at Starship

Starship Technologies, the company leading the delivery industry revolution with fleets of friendly pavement robots is looking for an Operations Field Assistant based in the Bay Area in California. We are building autonomous robots designed to deliver parcels, groceries, and food in 15-30 minutes within a 2-3 mile radius.
 
We are looking for dynamic team members to join our operations in the Bay Area. This position requires to help out with the daily operations of an innovative delivery service. The job will require for you to move amongst the different locations in the Bay Area. However, you will also be working with cutting-edge technology as you will be working with our innovative robots. Field Assistants will set up operations tools, drive to required locations according to business needs, support operation leads in fulfilling orders accurately, efficiently, and effectively as a team to ensure exceptional results.
 
Prior experience in order fulfillment, picker/packer and delivery operations are highly desirable. Reliability is expected. Please include your availability when applying.
 
 

Essential Skills and Responsibilities:

      • Gathering, inspecting, packing and shipping the items correctly and efficiently.
      • Careful handling of the products is a must to prevent damage.
      • Manual dexterity is required to use handheld tools.
      • Accomplish deliveries in a timely manner; which often translates into fast paced walking for 1 ½ - 2 ½ hours during peak time.
      • Monitor and observe environment that might change quickly.
      • Respond promptly and courteously to any request.
      • Some lifting might be involved; although ramps will be provided for heavy items.
      • Clear and clean your own area before you leave the site.
      • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
      • Maintain a professional appearance at all times; company tee shirts will be provided and required.
      • Attention to detail and commitment to providing a world-class service is a must.

      • Teamwork: You will be working with other field operations team members, employees of other companies and team leads to reach an ambitious goal of 150 deliveries a day. Being a team player is essential.
      • Ability to function highly in a BUSY environment.
      • Must have an energetic, positive and friendly personality. We work hard, but laughing does and should occur.
      • Fluent in English.
      • Must have strong customer service and communication skills.
 
Terms & Conditions:
 
    • Starting pay is $17.00 per hour.
    • Driver's license required.
    • Flexible availability.
    • Work area: Bay Area, California.
