Tonal’s Email Marketing Manager partners closely with Acquisition marketing to drive qualified sign-ups, engage existing members through behavioral targeting and maintain a healthy, growing list of engaged members. The ideal candidate will have a passion for driving results, strong organizational skills, and a track record of being able to partner with technology, analytics and design teams to create compelling email and push marketing campaigns. You’ll work with the marketing leadership and analytics team to develop, implement and execute essential deliverables to the email program.
What You Will Do
  • Design email campaigns in collaboration with Acquisition, Retention and Partnerships teams and execute flawlessly, from end-to-end
  • Managing trigger email campaigns throughout the customer lifecycle to maximize sales
  • Develop compelling product stories in partnership with merchandise and creative teams
  • A/B Testing on various email campaigns to establish the most effective emails, subject lines, and calls-to-action
  • Monitor daily email deliverability, working closely with our certification partner to follow best practices and continuously evolve communications and segmentation to comply with ISP and push notification guidelines
  • Utilize customer segmentation to deliver admissible and adequate communication
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance to assess email standards, edit and update as necessary
  • Keep us current on email best practices regarding contact strategies, data capture, campaign analysis, deliverability
Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing with at least 4+ years of experience in email marketing
  • Technologically savvy and able to translate business requirements into technical requirements
  • Ability to prioritize and analyze data, measure ROI, identify top/worst performers and make recommendations to improve results
  • Experience with a/b testing methodologies, preferred
  • Solid ability to use HTML and CSS to build emails
  • Must be available, reliable and quick to respond
  • Really understand email best practices, innovation, and technologies
  • High energy and creativity, possess a clean design aesthetic
  • Experience in startups or consumer subscription businesses a plus
  • Enthusiastic about email and direct marketing with a passion for the customer
