Responsibilities

  • Review user-generated content and select user profiles
  • Review abuse and safety incident reports and take appropriate action per operations policies
  • Manage the banned user process; track and remove offending users
  • Identify and track behavioral trends, and resolve community issues
  • Use expertise to develop efficient systems and processes to further efforts of community safety
  • Compile and submit law enforcement agency and NCMEC reports
  • Maintain the company’s content guidelines and ensure they are up to date
  • Contribute to backend tool improvements and workflows
  • Ensure that the Whisper app remains a safe, legal, and fun community

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of online legal issues, internet culture, and community platforms
  • Reliable, proactive, and capable of multitasking
  • Organized, detail oriented, and a great team player
  • Strong objective decision making and problem solving skills
  • Experienced researcher
  • Tech savvy with the ability to learn and utilize new tools quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to focus and work autonomously in a dynamic, unstructured work environment
  • 1-3 years experience in a customer support, trust and safety, community management or similar role
  • Familiar with online child safety, interacting with NCMEC and law enforcement, investigating fraud, spam, or other types of abuse is a huge plus!
  • Proficient in Mac operating system, MS Office Suite, Google applications, JIRA
