Sales Director, West Region at Poppin

Poppin is growing our team on the West Coast and we are looking to hire an experienced Sales Director to lead our B2B Account Executives in California. This position is responsible for creating a team culture that reinforces Poppin’s core values and work happy attitude. We’re looking for someone with a proven track record of coaching and mentorship, who can develop their team members into leaders. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the performance and development of a team of 8-12 Account Executives across the West Coast
  • Ensure sales team hits determined goals and KPIs month over month
  • Aid Account Executives in pipeline management and customer/prospect segmentation -- from short cycle, transactional opportunities to long-lead consultative engagements.
  • Create and manage team forecasts
  • Provide one on one coaching for direct reports in weekly meetings as well implement team wide sales training
  • Assist Account Executives on client meetings
  • Make the final call on escalated customer service issues
  • Approve discounts for special orders while managing overall margin level for your team
  • Approve sales orders placed by your team and ensure they are entered properly
  • Create an awesome environment for your team that motivates individuals while enforcing a team mentality

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 year of experience managing a B2B sales team in multiple locations, a minimum of 3 years of direct B2B sales experience
  • BS or BA required
  • Strong coaching and training skills
  • Proven record of developing sales professionals into leaders
  • Experience hiring and developing successful sales team in new markets
  • Highly organized, easily adaptable to a high growth organization
  • Must have the ability to motivate and inspire your team
  • Strong understanding of how to build a team culture
  • Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Working knowledge of the A/D community
