International Community Associate at Turo

As Turo’s International Community Associate, you will be a key member of the business development team in London and responsible for developing the International Commercial Host program, launching Turo in new markets around the world. This is a holistic commercial role touching on everything from sales and account management, to business strategy and operations.

In short, you will wear many hats, often working independently, to gain an invaluable breadth of experience on the exciting mission to launch and scale Turo through partnerships with independent car rental businesses across the globe.

As a talented and independent individual, you will be looking to help define this role as we scale our international business. We want people who can grow with Turo.

Responsibilities

  • You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the international commercial host business
  • As with most decisions at Turo, data drives strategy. You will learn how to use data analytics to inform your direction as you identify key new markets, and build existing ones
  • Identifying, pitching and onboarding new hosts for the International Commercial Host program
  • You will be the point-of-contact for our top commercial hosts across the globe, as you build a community of reliable, respectful and business-minded hosts
  • Providing high-quality customer support to our users; fielding complaints and escalations across a broad range of areas: billing, failed reservations, cancellations, etc.
  • Monitoring and reacting quickly to resolve issues across Turo’s multiple international marketplaces
  • Develop market launch and growth strategies
  • Contributing ideas to further improve Turo’s product, user experience and team operations
  • Coordinate with our teams in San Francisco, Boston and Toronto to share best practices

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in an account management, sales or business development role
  • Undergraduate degree (2:1 or higher)
  • Fluent in English, however, additional languages are a plus!
  • Top-notch oral and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service and dispute resolution skills
  • Entrepreneurial and curious mindset; we want people who can grow with Turo
  • Great problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
  • Ability to work both in a team environment and independently with little or no supervision/direction
  • Outstanding attention to detail, with a strong ethic of personal responsibility
  • Personable, outgoing individual who enjoys working with people, and is able to handle conflicts and high-stress situations with grace. It’s a fun group, so a positive attitude is a must
