Enterprise Sales Engineer at CloudPassage

Description

As an Enterprise Sales Engineer at CloudPassage, you will collaborate with Account Executives, Product leadership and Customer Success teams. Serving as a technical expert on cloud security, you will gain a deep understanding of the CloudPassage Halo solution set, handle tough objections, and lead successful customer evaluations to gain technical wins.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with sales teams to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder deal cycles with customer technical experts and executives
  • Drive technical discovery and conversation to find customers’ business pain and technical objectives
  • Prepare and deliver compelling demonstrations of CloudPassage Halo’s value to prospective customers, existing clients and ecosystem partners
  • Conduct technology proof-of-concept exercises to help validate technical requirements
  • Contribute to the success of a rapidly growing organization

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of full-time experience in pre-sales engineering for Infosec/Cybersecurity product sales; large enterprise experience is a plus
  • Track record of successfully overcoming technical objections and navigating large enterprise politics to solve problems in customers’ buying cycle
  • Basic knowledge and experience with one or more of the following technologies:
    • IaaS Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)Workload Operating Systems (Linux, Windows, CoreOS)
    • Container technology (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Fargate, etc)
    • Automation and DevOps tools (Puppet, Chef, Jenkins, Terraform, others)
  • Basic knowledge and experience with Infosec/Cybersecurity concepts like:
    • Cloud workload protection platform (CWPP) technologies
    • Cloud security posture management (CSPM) technologies
    • Vulnerability assessment & management
    • Network and host-based intrusion detection
    • System hardening and configuration security
    • Network access control & cloud network topologies
    • Security information & event management (SIEM) solutions
    • Security, compliance & attestation standards (PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2, FedRAMP, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (or commensurate experience)
  • Industry security certifications such as CISSP or GIAC are a plus
