The Opportunity

Upserve is seeking a Director, Sales who is passionate about unifying a Direct Sales and Account Management team located in our Providence HQ and remote team members throughout the US into a cohesive team, leading them to acquire new customer and hit monthly revenue targets. This role reports into Kyle Johnson our EVP, Sales and will work closely with marketing, sales operations, product management, and learning and development to meet our growth targets and define and execute on our go-to-market strategy. Additionally, you will be responsible for driving the hiring, training, and management of both line managers and individual contributors. You will foster an exceptional sales culture of high performance and solution-based sales through ongoing coaching and skill development. The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  •  Managing a fast-paced SaaS sale, involving up to 5 decision makers representing one to 10 restaurant locations nationwide
  • Using proven sales tools such as to review your the team’s pipeline, track their progress against goals and improve productivity.
  • Leading weekly forecasting meetings/ monthly kickoffs to track progress to goal and foster a culture of high performance and accountability
  • Coaching your team by analyzing quantitative metrics as well as live product demo and recorded call reviews.
  • Working closely with Marketing and Operations teams to create the tools and processes that will enable your team’s success
  • Collaborating with Product Marketing to shape our product's positioning and messaging
  • Collaborating with the Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Product Marketing to enhance and further develop best in class hiring, training, and continued product and skills education for sales reps and sales managers
  • Coaching sales managers on hiring, performance management, and talent development best practices



The Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, advertising or related field preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive inside sales experience (SaaS preferred) including the management of sales managers
  • Previous experience managing a high velocity, transnational sales to an SMB customer base
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and willing to lead the business to the next level
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong quantitative analytical skills
  • Sound business judgment and commercial acumen
  • Ability to translate complex and detailed information in a simplified and understandable manner
