Summary of the Stance Senior Accountant:


Looking for a strong, self-starting, organized, dedicated, flexible, energetic individual with a high level of integrity. Qualified candidate will be willing to roll up their sleeves and dive into any and all tasks necessary in completing their duties, including menial tasks. The company is looking for that ‘go-to’ person who enjoys learning and accomplishing tasks in a fast-paced, team environment. Strong work ethic, solid communication skills, and attention to detail are a must.


This position reports directly to the Director of Finance and Accounting


As a Stance Senior Accountant, you are responsible for:

  • Month-End Close, General Ledger Maintenance, Monthly Journal Entries, and Financial Statement preparation: Performing month-end closing and financial reporting process including account analysis and reconciliation, Assisting with producing accurate and timely monthly financial statements, analyses and reports.
  • Working with other departments to provide monthly reporting and other ad hoc analysis requests.
  • Assisting with various types of Dashboard reports – including forecast, budget, cash flow, profitability reporting, business unit reporting, contribution margin, etc., utilizing DOMO software platform
  • Evaluating and documenting accounting & operational procedures and to recommend modifications to existing procedures.
  • Preparing for financial audits from various audiences including banking, insurance, CPA firm and governmental.
  • Helping with state and local compliance by filing returns for sales tax, property tax, etc.
  • Assisting with special projects as assigned.


We are looking for someone with the following skills and qualifications:

  • Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude, and teamwork with customers, peers, and management.
  • Knowledgeable about computer hardware and software, including Apple Macs, Full Circle, and MS Office.
  • Capable of clear and concise oral and written communication in the English language
  • Capable of using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Capable of sound judgment and decision making, including how to estimate and analyze the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. Understands the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Able to identify measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.
  • Understands basic systems analysis – Can determine how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
  • Capable of complex problem solving -- Can identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions including the ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules.
  • Strength in analyzing data or information – Can identify the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
  • Committed to keep up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to the job.
  • Maintain confidential information of a privately held company.
  • Ability to work and communicate well with all levels of staff and management
  • Undergraduate degree, concentration in accounting. 
  • 2-4 years of public accounting or private industry experience, preferably within the apparel or manufacturing industries.  
  • CPA or CPA candidate
  • Full Circle experience is a plus
