Senior Visual Designer at Anaplan

We are looking for a Visual Designer with a proactive attitude, collaborative nature, and ability to create delightful, polished and accessible enterprise software.

You’ll be joining a multi-discipline, multi-lingual (well, some of us anyway), international design team that is both experienced and state-of-the-art. We have diverse backgrounds including former developers, field researchers, a former NCR product designer, and many other professions - but we all share a common passion in advocating for our users, for delivering the best solution and never saying the words, “this is how we’ve always done it”.

 

The Office:  

In the heart of the eclectic SOMA district, you can feel the excitement and energy of what we do at Anaplan when you step into our San Francisco office. What you’ll do:

  • Help evolve Anaplan’s visual design language, across web and mobile, while contributing to the growth of our design system.
  • Collaborate with our Marketing and CX teams to build a consistent visual experience across the entire customer journey.
  • Work with our product management and executives to bring visual storytelling to product communications and help better articulate Anaplan services.
  • Apply expert knowledge in branding, typography, iconography, organization, hierarchy, colour theory, patterns, and interaction design principles to create pixel perfect high-fidelity mockups and specifications that represent visual display and workflow.
  • Create product illustrations, icons and animations that enrich product experiences and reinforce concepts for our users
  • Work with designers, product managers and developers in York, London and San Francisco to ensure visual and interaction design continuity across all products.
  • Mentor and inspire other designers
  • Juggle! You’ll be working on multiple projects at one time, using strong communication skills to manage time and expectations appropriately
  • Help set the creative heartbeat across the company and be a key contributor to the establishment of the Anaplan Design brand

 

What you'll have already accomplished

 

To be successful in the role, you should have the following experience: 

  • Presentation of a high-quality design portfolio (displaying a depth and breadth of visual design).
  • Must demonstrate a methodical design process in order to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to present and justify design proposals to peers, executives and customers.
  • Communicate ideas quickly through sketching or other lo-fi design techniques.
  • Ability to prototype using HTML or specialist tools such as Axure, Balsamiq or InVision.
  • Production of polished visual design specs using tools such as Illustrator or Sketch.
  • Experience in designing experiences that work across any device.

Bonus points:

  • Motion, animation and/or video production experience
  • Experience with Lean UX
  • Hands-on experience with user-research
  • Love of nerf guns, good food, and giphy
