Finance Operations Associate at Upserve

The Finance Operations Associate performs a wide variety of activities across the Finance function in areas including: Billing, Deal Desk, Risk Management, and Business Applications. They will work closely with the entire Finance team, internal departments and external contacts to perform cross-functional work.




  • Manage multiple-priorities in a fast paced environment, have the ability to learn quickly and adapt to changes, as well as, have high attention to detail
  •  Drive cross-departmental projects from idea formulation through completion
  • Maintain and provide ad-hoc reports and analysis that drive actionable results
  • Reconciling billing plans with closed opportunities
  • Collaborating with finance and customer success team on communication with customers
  • Screen prospective restaurants through risk-monitoring tools – interpret, understand, document and react effectively
  • Ensure appropriate internal documentation and organization
  • Gather relevant information to assess risk profile of restaurant; leverage this information to perform thorough analysis and to make informed approval decisions/recommendations
  • Perform credit card statement analysis for prospective new clients
  • Perform processing rate analysis for current clients
  • Loading payments data into Salesforce
  • Subject matter expert for credit card processing and industry related questions



You are a self-starter who is passionate about delivering accurate results in a timely manner. You are learning new technologies, and are comfortable digging into excel spreadsheets and performing analysis that directly contributes to the financial success of the company. Success in this role requires clear and concise communication with multiple department throughout the company. 



  • 0-2 years of applicable experience in a finance role
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Willingness to learn and continuously expand knowledge of complex payment processing industry
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple requests at once

Not a must, but a plus:

  • SQL, Python, R or other programming skills
  • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Nested Functions, etc.)
