SendBird is powering chat for the most innovative companies in the world. We are on an incredible growth trajectory and are looking for our first ever Technical Recruiter to take on the ambitious task of attracting and hiring top engineering talent. 
This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on execution and leadership by helping defining the Recruiting function at SendBird. We are assembling a dream team and are eager to meet driven candidates who crave impact, thrive in ambiguity and want to experience a start-up shifting into hyper growth.
  • Manage and drive a full recruitment cycle for technical roles from sourcing to offer acceptance. 
  • Find, engage, and activate passive candidates through the use of Boolean, LinkedIn and other search techniques. 
  • Screen resumes and interview candidates to match experience to openings
  • Strategize different ways to build talent pipelines and execute on tactical research, referral generation, events, and sourcing campaigns.
  • Develop strong relationships with candidates, understanding their needs, and maintain quality communications throughout the hiring process regardless of outcome.
  • Lead interview teams through debriefs and support in making hiring decisions.
  • Optimize our hiring process and internal workflows; help us create a scalable process that ensures alignment and an outstanding candidate experience.
  • Manage relationships with hiring platforms and agencies; help us determine ROI and ultimately, build out passive and active talent pools to replace outsourced candidate channels.
  • Leverage our ATS (Lever) to ensure effective and efficient results-driven recruiting processes.
  • You don’t think of recruiting as transactional. 
  • You act as a champion for candidates throughout their interviewing journey by understanding their motivations and ensuring they feel supported and set up for success. 
  • You are passionate about building teams and connecting people to the right opportunities. 
  • You keep diversity top of mind and continually look for ways to discover and engage with talent from underrepresented backgrounds to drive our values forward.
  • You are naturally intuitive and use this skill in a balanced way when screening and assessing whether a candidate’s skills and motivations align with our core values and business needs.
  • You are able to articulate a company’s value proposition in a way that resonates with candidates and can help them recognize how a role fits into their personal and professional goals. 
  • You are exceptionally organized and a master at multitasking. 
  • You understand the importance of having flawless coordination and attention to detail. 
  • Strong alignment with our core values.
  • 3+ years full-cycle technical recruiting experience, preferably in high-growth environments. 
  • Proven track record sourcing and hiring passive candidates.
  • Experience building out engineering teams in a scaling environment.
  • Sharp interview skills with ability to screen for both technical and value alignment qualities.
  • Strong understanding of current competitive job market. 
  • Strong understanding of compensation, techniques and methodologies.
  • Ability to craft compelling job descriptions and external messaging.
  • Familiarity with relevant tools and programs (e.g., applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn, referral programs, and job boards).
