Growth Marketing Manager (E-Commerce) Overview
 
The Growth Marketing Manager focused on Tonal's e-commerce environment will be a foundational member of the Revenue & Growth Team, which has ownership of driving Tonal adoption and sales. A successful Growth Marketing Manager will make a tangible impact across the business in this highly visible role. They will identify high-leverage opportunities for new revenue generation, build data-driven hypotheses for improving marketing performance, and execute tests to prove them right or wrong. They will work directly with the sales and broader marketing team to offer strategic insights into the performance of the marketing and sales funnels. The role is based in San Francisco, California and will report to the VP of Revenue and Growth. 
 
What You Will Do

  • Analyze and optimize our e-commerce platform and website, working collaboratively with the broader marketing team to generate insights and drive revenue growth
  • Develop new approaches to drive users through the site and eventually to purchase
  • Lead personalization initiative to create more granular and effective customer journeys
  • Work with other Marketing & Growth Team members to create high-impact omni-channel campaigns & measure their success
  • Partner with the Brand Team to give them insights to drive content strategy
  • Work with the Retail Team to help convert showroom and event leads into sales
  • Leverage technologies, tools and data to measure and prove success
  • Extract, transform and load data sets to report and deliver meaningful insights
  • Lead quantitative analyses that translate data into actionable insights and actionable plans
  • Work with cross-functional teams to push projects forward, driving recommendations through to implementation
  • Build and maintain reports and/or dashboards that provide visibility into business performance
 
Required Background
 
  • 2 - 3 years experience building and optimizing complex customer flows, ideally within e-commerce environments
  • 4 - 6 years work experience, ideally in a product management or marketing context
  • Deep professional experience with A/B testing frameworks and optimization platforms
  • Deep professional experience with ESPs such as Iterable, Autopilot, SendGrid or MailChimp
  • Deep professional experience using BI tools such as Looker, Tableau or GoodData
  • Expert-level XLS skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to flawless execution
  • Excellent communication and project/task management skills
  • Proven ability to thrive in a very fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Statistics/econometrics skills
  • Ability to write SQL and/or scripts in Python or related language
  • Undergrad degree in engineering, economics or business
  • WooCommerce and/or Shopify experience
