Director of Product Management at data.world

Data.world is looking for a Director of Product Management to own the strategic go-to-market plan and roadmap for our Modern Catalog for Data and Analysis. At data.world, you’ll work with Sales, UX, Engineering and Marketing leadership to craft product strategy for our category defining data catalog and collaboration platform. You’ll also be responsible for delivering insights about our platform’s performance and use in the hands of our customers and community (data.world is the world’s largest collaborative data community) to the whole company via your leadership of our Product Science team. You’ll get out in the field with our prospects and customers to understand our buyers, users and market and bring that context back to the sales, customer success, product and engineering teams.

At data.world, you will:

  • Produce the market-facing, strategic product roadmap for our data catalog and collaboration platform
  • Lead the Product Science team (our internal BI and Data Science team focused on product usage and optimization)
  • Coordinate product pricing, go-to-market packaging and strategy
  • Coordinate product content with engineering, product marketing, technical services and customer success
  • Validate our product strategy and requirements with prospects and customers
  • Do competitive research and help with analyst relations
  • Work iteratively and collaboratively with designers, product owners, sales, marketing and customer success team members
  • Work in a dynamic, agile, and data-driven environment and have true ownership and responsibility for the success of the product.

You have:

  • 5+ years product management experience
  • Preferably worked at a data and analytics tools company or been responsible for buying, building and deploying data tools at a data-driven organization
  • Strong data and analytical skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills. You should be able to articulate your decisions, whiteboard new solutions, present ideas concisely, and defend those ideas with data.
  • An appetite to try new things. You’re curious and excited to improve your process, and always looking to learn. You ask questions and don't shy away from challenges.
