Country Manager at Zwift

Work Duties

  • Operating Structure and staffing - Lead the formation of the newly incorporated office and coordinate local staff to set Zwift up for success in Japan

  • Budget Planning and Management - Leading Japan’s annual budget setting process and managing budget spend across Zwift financial year.

  • Brand Management - Protect the value and performance of the Zwift master brand in Japan

  • Marketing Strategy - 1. Localising global programming and campaigns into Japan. 2. Building bottom-up marketing strategies tailored to the specific needs and nuances of the Japanese Market

  • Marketing Implementation - working with your local team and Central Marketing resources to implement across the full marketing channel mix: Field Marketing and events, Social Media, PR, in game activations, influencer marketing, local brand partnerships, community management and localised customer service.

  • Business Development - Assisting Zwift HQ develop global partnerships on a locally in Japan. Create local partnerships which accelerate local growth.


Required Skills

  • Leadership and people Management.

  • an understanding of the local cycling and fitness landscape: Where are the cycling hotspots? Which are the best bike shops and retailers to partner with? Who are the key influencers with a good fit for Zwift? What are the local nuances of the cycling, running and triathlon communities we need to tailor to?

  • Basic knowledge of social media tools and platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube

  • Ability to proactively find and implement solutions to problems

  • Since we are a global startup, the ability to effectively communicate with our global staff (English is essential)

  • Knowledge of road bikes, running, triathlons, and indoor training, or a passion for sports.
