The Senior Test Software Engineer will be responsible for developing LabVIEW based applications for controlling and monitoring Vector ground support and test systems. This role is for a dynamic, self-starting individual with great attention to detail and excellent people skills. This is a full-time position located at our facility in Huntington Beach, CA with some travel to our Arizona Test Site (ATS) facility north of Tucson, AZ.

A typical day might include the following:

  • Developing software requirements
  • Defining software architectures
  • Designing graphic user interfaces
  • Developing LabVIEW applications for user interface displays and real-time systems
  • Developing software tests

This job might be for you if you have these:

  • B.S./M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or previous experience
  • 3 or more years experience developing LabVIEW applications for user interface displays, compactRIO, or PXI
  • Extremely detail oriented; willing to take on new challenges and work independently
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong background in LabVIEW, LabVIEW FPGA, LabVIEW RT
  • Working knowledge of embedded protocols
  • Experience with basic computer networking protocols and hardware
  • Experience with ARM microprocessors
  • Excellent verbal, written and graphical communications skills
  • Experience in both Linux and Windows environment
  • Willing to travel <10% to Tucson, AZ facility to support test campaigns and support program reviews is likely
  • Ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
  • Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed
