Product Manager at Nextdoor

We're seeking passionate and consumer-oriented Product Managers to lead cross-functional teams of engineers and designers in bringing new ideas to life. Working alongside other product professionals, you’ll be a part of building and evolving the Nextdoor platform through idea generation, product definition, business modeling, development and product launch. The scope of this role is holistic: priority #1 at Nextdoor is putting our members first, so it is the responsibility of the Product Manager that the features we launch enhance the experience of Nextdoor and support building the best possible product experience for our all Nextdoor neighbors and communities.

At Nextdoor, you’ll join a small, agile team building a brand-new product. You should be comfortable working in an iterative development process with rapid feedback loops. This is a great opportunity to help launch a product that builds real community in neighborhoods across the country!

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the ideation, technical development and launch of new features and products and drive product development with a cross-functional team of developers and designers
  • Establish a shared vision among product stakeholders by building consensus on priorities and features leading to launch and execution
  • Integrate usability studies, and market research/analysis into product build and evangelize a testing and research culture as part of development process
  • Effectively use data and metrics to evolve and inform the direction of product development
  • Evangelize the Nextdoor mission of using technology to build stronger, safer neighborhoods, and effectively release world-class products that grow and improve the Nextdoor platform. 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years product management experience
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical and project management skills
  • Thorough understanding of the technical architecture of complex and highly scalable web and mobile applications
  • Knack for creating simple and delightful user interfaces, with the ability to generate examples through mock-ups and wireframes
  • Comfort working across the product development spectrum: ideation, strategy, concept work to pixel-level details and implementation
  • Previous experience in the social networking space or developing social products/technologies/platforms is a plus
  • BA/BS in Computer Science (or another related, technical field) is preferred
