Product Content Strategist at Color Genomics

Our goal is to expand physician-supported access to genetic testing to help every person, everywhere understand their risk for hereditary disorders.

Content is at the heart of every interaction our clients and healthcare providers have with Color. Whether it is instructions while providing a saliva sample, or understanding what it means to have a BRCA1 mutation, how information is communicated is complicated and impactful. Color is looking for an experienced content strategist to help build our practice and develop/extend our voice. You will report into Design and work closely with product designers, researchers, marketing and communications to grow our brand voice and ensure consistency across the experience.
  • Drive the evolution of our brand voice within the product, in collaboration with Marketing
  • Execute on our voice across a broad range of projects: navigation nomenclature, packaging materials, test results, educational materials and other content throughout the Color experience
  • Develop content frameworks, product narratives, and other deliverables to help colleagues understand the practice of content strategy and buy into the voice and tone of the product
  • Big picture: Work with designers, researchers, engineers, product managers, product marketers, genetic counselors, and variant scientists to make a product that clients and healthcare providers love
  • 5+ years content strategy experience
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Solid understanding of user experience design principles and interaction patterns
  • Experience writing content for web/mobile products and developing style guides preferred
  • Proven ability to collaborate successfully with cross-­functional partners
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
  • Passion for Color’s mission and deep empathy for clients
  • Brand experience preferred
