DevOps Engineer at LiveIntent

LiveIntent is looking for a highly skilled candidate to be a part of our team as a DevOps Engineer. The DevOps Engineer is responsible for optimizing and improving the production environment for LiveIntent’s data pipeline which is a mix of Hadoop/spark batch jobs scheduled visa airflow. S/he will be part of all stages of development, from initial sparring and the exchange of ideas to prototyping, developing, testing, deploying, maintenance/improvement and reporting. This position requires attention to detail, ownership and collaboration, a positive professional attitude, and the ability to work in both a team environment and independently.


  • Experience with scripting in Python, bash or a similar technology
  • Experience with build automation and CI/CD automation in existing open source solutions and specific Jenkins experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of, or strong desire to learn, about “best practice” and daily operations of systems available based on Big Data and Web technologies
  • Proficient with debugging and error handling
  • Strong understanding of the interaction between complex systems and a sense for details during implementations

Our ideal candidate:

  • BA/BS degree, preferably in related field Such as Computer Science
  • 2 years of relevant experience is ideal. Recent graduates with a relevant degree will be considered
  • Desire to learn how to set up and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and automation of developments in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with maintenance and tuning of Hadoop clusters, or a strong interest in learning
  • Experience with containerization in Docker, Kubernetes on AWS, or similar
  • Attacks problems analytically and solutions pragmatically
  • Eager to understand and find solutions in the problem areas
  • Committed to seeing tasks through until the end
  • Enjoys both independent and collaborative work
