Overview
 
Tonal is looking for a creative professional to help develop new and exciting product content that touches just about every written word within our cutting edge fitness system. From video scripts and “in-product” descriptions, to blog posts and workout titles, this role spans product and marketing. You’ll take a concept from bullet points to a fully realized creative pitch or idea. 
 
You will work on our growing Content Team that focuses on creating fun and effective home workouts. We script, shoot, edit, and produce all of our video content in-house. We focus on innovation, organization, and extremely high quality, stretching what we do creatively while being extremely detail oriented along the way.

What You Will Do
 
  • Establish guidelines and standards for product copy based on our brand guidelines 
  • Create titles and descriptions for content within the product
  • Write and “punch up” scripts for video content within the product
  • Collaborate on product emails to onboard and engage users in the Tonal community
  • Write copy that appears in the Tonal Software, Content, and Product guides
  • Contribute to product blog posts for the Tonal community and prospective customers
  • Interpret creative direction and adapt points from creative briefs into persuasive copy concepts
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Design, Marketing, and Customer Care

Who You Are
 
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience writing for product, product marketing, video and/or consumer-oriented written communications 
  • Experience in producing copy for digital, video, print and/or other broadcast channels
  • Extremely creative, an idea machine
  • Ability to edit others, to take their first drafts and make them sparkle
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs
  • Exceptional skill with the nuances of product-oriented writing
  • Experience in and/or a passion for fitness is a plus
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines when necessary
  • Can work independently (self-starting) and within a team
