As Tonal’s Cost and Sourcing Manager, you’ll search, integrate, and manage the strategic and competitive mechanical engineering resources to obtain the most suitable cost for the company and optimize margin. Working together under the Global Supply Management Director you will support in the costing process while collaborating with counter partners in original design manufacturing. The Costing and Sourcing Manager will develop strong cross-functional relationships throughout the organization. Through this, they will ensure collaboration and information sharing of all cost inputs and to identify options and creative solutions to drive achievement of targets.

What You Will Do
  • Responsible for mechanical engineering commodities parts sourcing, including cost, and terms and conditions negotiation; may be required to assist non-mechanical engineering commodities
  • Maintain cost data integrity and freshness
  • Manage costing process with suppliers
  • Assist original design manufacturing/original equipment manufacturing quotation review
  • Manage price variance process 
  • Drive 2nd source survey, cost down plan follow-up and implementation

Who You Are
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or business, MBA is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical commodity sourcing/procurement
  • Familiar with original equipment manufacturing/original equipment manufacturing/contract manufacturing business model and material management process
  • Familiar with mechanical commodity, bill of materials structure, production process, and market trends
  • Self-motivated to operate independently with minimum supervision
  • Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office
