Overview:
The Director of Business Development will be responsible for identifying, recruiting and building relationships with LeanData’s sales (referral) and technology partner ecosystem. This role will be responsible for new partnership development and existing partner management.  
 
The ideal candidate will have deep analytical and business strategy acumen, experience with platform businesses as well as sales enablement and incentives; and an understanding of how software ecosystems are built, where the leverage lies, and how technical integration with major players could benefit LeanData. We are looking for a hands-on, strategic, won’t-take-no-for-an-answer, and detailed-oriented individual to drive these initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish and manage relationships with new and existing channel partners in order to create new opportunities for these partners and LeanData
  • Establish and maintain executive, sales, marketing and services relationships
  • Recruit new channel partners
  • Provide product and program training for Channel Partners & clients through webinars and demonstrations of our product offerings
  • Attend and work trade shows / partner events, this may involve public speaking
  • Travel to various Channel Partner offices for meetings, events and trainings
  • Domestic travel: approx. 20%

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, with a background in sales and marketing or account management if not specifically in channel and partner development
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
  • Strong relationship/team building and account management skills
  • Leadership qualities that reflect a self-motivated individual with the ability to work as part of a team
  • 5-7 years high-tech industry experience selling directly to end customers and/or channel development or strategic alliance experience
  • Software sales experience, including CRM, sales and marketing technology stack applications and Software-as-a-Service/Cloud Computing business applications
  • Marketing experience is not required, but preferred
