Survios, Inc., Los Angeles, CA seeks Gameplay Animators - Creating high quality 3D game animations using Mocap and Hand-Keyed methods and implementing them in Unreal Engine 4.  Collaborating closely with Designers, Engineers and Tech Artists to prototype and implement animations, gameplay features and cinematics.  Addressing unique challenges for animating in VR and inventing new animation solutions that provide immersive and impactful experiences.  Organizing and improving upon existing animation pipelines and workflows.  Using 3D software and Computer Aided Design (CAD) programs to develop complex animation modeling that moves from concept to production.  Designing innovative and original lifelike animation ideas on all aspects of game production and development.  Using 3D software and Computer Aided Design (CAD) to draw and create animated narrative sequences.  Using Unreal Engine 4 and Mocap for creating and installing special effects and technical implementation of animation designs.  Using Maya, 3D Studio Max, and Substance Painter to create finished art animations.  Optimizing all assets for performance in Virtual Reality environments. 

Requires Bachelor’s (or foreign educ. equiv.) Degree in Animation or Computer Graphics and Four (4) yrs. experience in the Job Offered. Experience must have included at least 3 yrs. in each of the following: Creating motion capture and keyframe body and facial 3D animation assets enhanced for immersive Virtual Reality experience using Maya, Motionbuilder, After Effects; Creating character rigs and animation pipeline tools highly optimized for performance in Virtual Reality environment using Python, MEL and C#;  Implementing playable and AI character in-game animation and cinematic cutscenes using Unreal Engine 4 animation system including the use of state machine, sequencer and blueprints and Unity3D Mecanim and Legacy animation system; Directing, capturing and processing motion capture data using X-Sens equipment and software; and VR industry specific experience utilizing Oculus SDK, Unreal VR mode and Unity Google VR SDK.
