Physician, Medical Affairs at Color Genomics

We are looking for a medical doctor with a background in primary care or public health to be a key leader on our Medical Affairs team. Medical Affairs engages with internal and external stakeholders to develop and support the Color population health management portfolio.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Specialty: Primary care, public health, population health
  • External Presentations: Speak on behalf of the company at invited conferences and panels. 
  • Sales and Business Development Support: Provide medical expertise in sales and business development meetings with health systems, self-insured employers, large research initiatives, and other strategic healthcare relationships.
  • Medical Content Review: Provide medical input into product concepts. Partner with the product and marketing teams to ensure that health-related content and collateral is medically accurate. 
  • Physician Education and Support: Provide medical expertise and process knowledge for the development and implementation of physician education programs, content, collateral, and support.
  • Employee Education and Support: Develop content and execute clinically oriented education and training, including sales training programs, journal clubs, ad hoc literature reviews, and other training venues for new and existing employees. Stay abreast of new clinical developments, papers and trends and work with the marketing team to be a conduit to the field for review of these developments. Work with key departments (Medical, Sales, Marketing, etc.) in developing and implementing successful clinical training programs as needed. 
  • Key Opinion Leader Influence and Medical Credibility: Work with Scientific Affairs to engage key opinion leaders and prioritize strategic internal and external research initiatives. Partner with marketing and PR/comms to develop and maintain a trusted medical brand. Present at medical and scientific meetings. 

What we're looking for: 
  • MD or MD/MPH  with a focus in primary care or public health with a minimum of 5 years clinical practice experience. Continued clinical practice is negotiable.
  • Participation in professional medical societies desirable.
  • Experience in health technology, diagnostics, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industry is desired, but not required.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) preferred, but not required.
  • Strong podium, interpersonal, organizational, and both written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with medical messaging.
  • Demonstrated team player and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30% to partners, clients, and conferences.
