Product Manager, Teleoperation at Starsky Robotics

The Teleoperation team at Starsky is responsible for the development of our system that allows human supervision and control over vehicles in our autonomous trucking fleet.  Teleoperation is one of the core technologies that Starsky has developed that is allowing us to rapidly move toward true driverless trucking operations in the immediate future and we’re looking for someone excited about planning and driving the development of this critical part of our vehicle systems.

Day-to-day responsibilities

    • Help to refine Starsky’s vision and strategy for teleoperation of autonomous trucks as we transform the future of trucking
    • Work closely with teleoperations drivers and engineers to define the capabilities and feature sets for on-vehicle systems and remote teleoperation stations
    • Prioritization of features by leveraging data along with safety driver and teleoperation driver input
    • Design and drive the roadmap to ensure our teleoperation system is intuitive, fault-tolerant, and scalable to meet the expectations of our teleoperation drivers to reliably operate in real world environments
    • Grow a fundamental understanding of the future teleoperation needs by interpreting real-world data collected on our trucking fleet


    • BS in Computer Science, Human/Computer Interaction, Robotics, or applicable technical field2 years of experience in product management
    • Excellent strategy and analytical skills for turning ambiguous requirements into innovative solutions
    • Skilled at working cross-functionally, and communicating effectively with technical and non technical teams
    • Ability to gather and understand large quantities of information and turn them into a thoughtful and compelling product vision
    • Excited to flourish in a startup environment, set your own goals, and deliver results in a fast-changing technology space

Bonus Skills

    • Master's degree in a technical or engineering field, MBA, or equivalent practical experience
    • Experience with autonomous vehicles, robotics, avionics, or remote operated vehicles
    • History of working with hardware and software
