The Launch Vehicle Systems Engineering Analyst will be responsible for assessing design trades, developing and running simulations, performing system level reliability analysis and developing tool suite for automated test data analysis. This role is for a dynamic, self-starting individual with great attention to detail and excellent people skills. This is a full-time position located at our Huntington Beach, CA facility.

A typical day might include the following:

  • Develop and decompose functional and performance requirements from the system level to subsystems
  • Conduct engineering analyses to assess impact of design trades on system performance
  • Develop models and run simulations for system level analysis
  • Analyze data from integration & system-level testing, and write verification reports
  • Develop tool suite for test data analysis automation

This job might be for you if you have these:

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, or closely related field
  • Experience in hardware/software integration, model based engineering, test, and analysis.
  • (2) years of progressively responsible experience in systems engineering in support of aerospace product development efforts
  • Proficiency in MS Excel Formulas and MATLAB/Simulink
  • Willing to travel <10% to Tucson, AZ facility to support test campaigns and support program reviews is likely
  • Ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
  • Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed

It would be impressive if you also have these:

  • Experience with models and Monte Carlo simulations.
  • Experience with POST or SORT
  • Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, Octave or Diadem
  • Familiarity with standards: SMC-S-016, MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-217, MIL-STD-461
  • Experience with government-funded aerospace development projects
  • Advanced degree in engineering

  • Ability to work as a member of a cross-functional team
