GalacticSky, a unit of Vector Launch, software team is building some of the most exciting and disruptive technologies for use in space, advancing the potential of computing systems in ways never imagined. This includes applying virtualization, along with cloud and data center technologies to the unique and challenging satellite environment.

In this position you will be developing the various user interfaces along with the system visualization dashboard. You will be a key driver of the product definition and development for our GalacticSky GUI.

A typical day might include the following:

  •  User experience and user interface design with a focus on space-age look and feel
  • Complete front-end development and use of modern front-end frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of website/web application development
  • Some back-end development desired
  • Working knowledge of Databases (MySQL and time-series)
  • Considerable background on Linux environments
  • Completed complex projects efficiently, proactively and with excellent quality
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Past work using Agile/SCRUM methodology

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong organizational skills and an attention to detail
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • 7 + Years Experience
  • Website or application UI design and development
  • Graphic design, RESTful APIs, Javascript, PHP, NodeJS
