About the team:
As an SEO Analyst at Canva you will have the opportunity to work on one of the fastest growing platforms in the world. The SEO team works cross-functionally with engineers, marketers, designers and products managers to launch Canva in new markets and grow Canva’s overall SEO visibility. Since launching the team in 2015, Canva’s user base has grown exponentially, and we’re not stopping there! We have crazy big goals and we’re not afraid to push ourselves, learn new skills along the way and have fun doing it!  
SEO plays an integral part to Canva’s international growth strategy and we’re looking for a SEO superstar to help us scale SEO and grow our users.

What you'll be doing:

  • Own key SEO metric monitoring and reporting tied to business-level data. Dig out and share insights with the International SEO team (examples include – page sessions, page rankings, signups, MAUs by region & key markets).
  • Contribute to Canva’s user acquisition strategy through the increase of organic traffic to Canva’s sites. Cite untapped organic acquisition opportunities in key markets.
  • Coordinate keyword research, gap analysis and identify areas for improvement across landing pages to drive growth.
  • Work with our analytics team to ensure valuable SEO data is well represented and tracked accurately on our tracking tools.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation and maintenance of Canva’s broad SEO strategy looking after all aspects: technical, content, outreach and authority building.
  • Liaise with a large team of overseas, multilingual/cultural professionals, including engineers, translators and other SEOs in order to amplify our current SEO strategies.
  • Organic performance analysis across key growth markets/regions, to identify gaps and areas of opportunity with the highest impact. This will entail working on, updating and improving the existing analysis reports for multilingual landing pages.
  • Onboard and brief new SEO specialists to our processes; facilitate knowledge sharing across International SEO teams.
  • Involvement with other marketing and growth activities as needed.

Skills you'll need:

  • At least 2 years digital marketing and SEO experience in the online industry, bonus if you’ve worked on multilingual sites.
  • Agency or client side, we don’t mind as long as you have experience growing organic search traffic, not just “doing” SEO.
  • Proven understanding of how search engines operate and what drives SEO performance.
  • Experience working with analytics tools like Google Analytics and building dashboards. Understanding of SQL and running queries would be a plus.
  • Experience with any plotting tools would be great too.
  • You are tech-savvy and understand the basics of Engineering / Coding.
  • Strong communication skills – verbal and written – be able to break down complex topics into simple solutions and ideas.
  • Bonus if you speak other languages.
