About the Role is seeking an eager marketer to support our growth marketing efforts. What does growth marketing mean to us? Glad you asked - there are quite a few flavors out there. We think of it as a data-driven and experimentation-led approach to marketing across the entire customer journey. Ok, so how does that actually play out on a daily basis? Let's look at a typical day:

You arrive to the office in the morning and fire up your favorite Looker dashboard to check in some changes you made to our email onboarding series. You're hoping a copy and offer update you made last week has driven a higher percentage of new signups to activate. Based on the reporting you set up, it looks like it did improve activation, and with strong statistical significance. Nice! So you jump over to Autopilot, our email software, and make this version the new baseline.

We're constantly running new experiments in paid social (mainly Facebook and YouTube) with different audience, creative and landing page combinations. You just received a brand new video like this one from our motion designer and set up a new reach campaign in Facebook to see how our core prospecting audience responds to the new creative.

Our field marketing team is going to NAB in a few weeks - the biggest conference in our industry, and you've been working with them to craft follow-up messaging for contacts they make at the event. You jump into Zapier to connect the Google spreadsheet (where they will be tracking badge scans) to Autopilot to trigger the right follow-up email series based on whether the contact is an existing customer, a new self-serve prospect, or a new sales prospect.

Finally, we've been testing our affiliate program with YouTubers who have a strong following of video creators. After a few weeks of outreach, you've been able to connect with Andrew Kramer from Video CoPilot and are working with him to craft the affiliate messaging for his next advanced VFX tutorial.

  • Self-motivated to achieve growth goals for the company with a high degree of ownership
  • Strong analytical interest - you have a solid understanding of vlookups and pivot tables in Excel and you either know or are very interested in learning SQL
  • Excellent communicator - you proactively share performance updates and get others excited about new ideas
  • Comfortable with shifting priorities - we take advantage of timely opportunities, doubling down on what works, cutting what doesn't, and constantly testing new ideas


Although not required (we love teaching new skillsets), it would be nice if you have

  • 2+ years of general marketing experience
  • Familiarity with email marketing
  • Familiarity with digital marketing (search engine marketing, paid social)
  • A basic understanding of HTML/CSS
  • A basic understanding of Sketch or Photoshop
