Social Media Specialist at Starship

Starship Technologies is developing the future of delivery – autonomous robots that bring parcels, groceries and food to people around the world. The robots are completing thousands of autonomous deliveries per week in a number of countries around the world.
 
The Starship Marketing team plays a key role in shaping how this future develops. We’re now looking for a Social Media expert to lead new social campaigns to further develop our global presence, and maintain our engagement in local new and existing service areas. This includes creating, managing and tracking new social media campaigns to drive engagement globally, whilst using careful data analysis to effectively make decisions.
 
We manage multiple different accounts on a global and local level. We have global facebook, twitter, Instagram, snapchat and LinkedIn which we like to provide content for once every two days. We then have local social groups where we engage with customers on an almost daily basis. These accounts around the world need constant monitoring and analysis on what is driving engagement. The person in the role will be responsible for sourcing all social content.
 

Your normal work duties will include:

    • Being responsible for all global and local social media
    • Including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, LinkedIn, Snapchat and more
    • Sourcing content for all channels, either internally or creating the content themselves
    • Growing social media followings across all channels 
    • Creating a reliable social content calendar
    • Understand in detail how each social channel works, what’s new, what tips and tricks can be used to boost followings
    • Implementing paid social campaigns across all platforms (lead gen, split tests, other experiments) and being an expert in the back end of each platform to understand how best to target audiences
    • Use software like social studio or similar to create, track and analyse social content being posted around specific keywords and the Starship brand (social media monitoring)
    • Use insight and data to adapt and iterate social campaigns
    • Track, measure and analyse all initiatives
    • The Social Media Specialist will also assist the Marketing team with events, launches, media requests and other aspects related to this area of the business.

You might just be the person we're looking for, if you:

    • Live and breathe social media!
    • Have experience in CRM including paid search, content marketing, paid social, paid media partnerships, events, split testing, apps and widgets to drive user growth
    • Have demonstrated hands on experience of creating social content for a global brand and managed multiple global social media channels
    • Have created amazing content for online channels
    • Are comfortable digging into the data
    • Have a very close attention to detail
    • Proven ability to be resourceful and adaptable in a dynamic business environment, and is comfortable working with uncertainty and rapid change
    • Have sound social awareness and strong creative thinking skills
    • Have strong written and spoken English and are a natural communicator
    • Are willing to work flexible hours across different time zones where required
    • Have the attitude that no task is too big or small for you to complete

Minimum Qualifications:

    • 2+ years experience in Social Media Marketing
    • Experience of working at a start-up and/or in tech
    • Proven ability to collaborate across cultures, geographical areas and cross functional teams
    • Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

    • B.Sc/BA in Business Management / Marketing / Communications
    • Experience at a global tech company
