New Markets Project Manager / Business Operations Analyst at Imperfect Produce

About the Role:
We're looking for a highly organized and motivated individual to help us launch Imperfect Produce in new cities and find solutions to our tough operational problems across the country. The New Markets Project Manager / Business Operations Analyst is responsible for working with cross-functional teams to ensure that facilities have what they need to be successful prior to launch and to provide support to existing markets in solving some of their tough operational problems.     • Partner with VP of New Markets to successfully launch (multiple) new cities approximately every month
    • Analyze customer data and predicted demand and make recommendations for delivery zones in new markets and regions
    • Analyze and track cost implications for expansion plans, ensuring that we are on track vs. budget
    • Support the Regional Directors of Operations and the local team to ensure they have what they need to set up a successful operation, such as setting up teams with supplies lists, licenses, etc.
    • Support the Regional Directors of Operations and VP’s of existing regions to ensure that they have ample data and make recommendations to the local team on expansion areas within existing regions
    • Ensure that master zipcode data and maps of delivery regions are updated regularly and information is properly cascaded to other teams
    • Work with cross-functional teams such as the supply and people to make sure that launches and roll-outs are done in a methodical and timely manner, and that all the pieces fall into place before the launch
    • Manage and lead a cross-functional team to ensure proper information is disseminated across all teams and to ensure a timely launch
    • Develop a deep understanding of the operations of the business. Combine data and with pain points to build insights and provide solutions to the operations team
    • Project manage improvements to drive greater efficiencies in day to day operations using a data-driven approach

Skills and Qualifications

    • 3-5+ years of project management and analytical experience
    • Experience in consulting a plus
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
    • Demonstrated experience creating workspaces and/or warehouses
    • Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics preferred
    • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
    • Relationship building and interpersonal skills
    • Strong Excel and SQL skills required

    • You are a master project manager and understand what it takes a build out proper timelines and dependencies among other team members
    • You are highly organized and have meticulous attention to detail
    • You are able to make sense of large data sets, see trends and organize problems into a structured project
    • You have the ability to problem-solve and think on your feet (A.K.A. a mental juggler)
    • You excel at independent, unsupervised work
    • You’re a great all around communicator and can balance your soft skills and getting stakeholder buy-in with meeting hard deadlines and tight timelines
    • You are mission-driven and personally aligned with our commitment to reduce food waste

Details of Position

    • Temporary role (4-6 months contract) with potential to convert to full time
    • Reports to the VP of New Markets based out of our Bayview headquarters in  San Francisco
    • Some domestic travel required (10% - 20%)
