The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for coordinating with Propulsion engineering team to develop a procurement plan to meet scheduled objectives.  This position will track suppliers progress and also coordinate supplier’s feedback with the engineers. This role is for a dynamic, self-starting individual with great attention to detail and excellent people skills. This is a full-time position located at our facility in Huntington Beach, CA.This is a full-time position located at our facility in Huntington Beach, CA, with periodic travel to our Production facility in Tucson, AZ.

 A typical day might include the following: 

  • Develop working relationships with the supplier network, track and monitor supplier activities to ensure quality and on-time deliveries.
  • Be an integrated team member of the Engineering team to find and source suppliers to meet the needs of the company.
  • Coordinate non-conforming hardware dispositions and coordinate with Supplier Engineer to facilitate the material review board changes.
  • Review drawings with the engineers, develop statements of work and create request for quotations (RFQs).
  • Analyze and negotiate price and schedule with suppliers and then place purchase orders as needed.
  • Conduct periodic supplier assessments and provide improvements plans.
  • Identify any shortcomings or gaps related to the supply chain and integrate with Program management and scheduling.
  • Travel to suppliers will be required on a periodic basis.

 This job might be for you if you have these:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Operations or related field is required.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Project Engineering, or related field in the aerospace industry.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Willing to travel [approx. 30%].
  • Ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
  • Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
