Electrical Engineer at Fetch Robotics

Fetch Robotics is a leading provider of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR's) that is revolutionizing the logistics industry. We are a young start-up growing at an incredibly rapid pace and we're looking for talented and enthusiastic people who are comfortable with a large degree of ownership and able to take risks. 

The successful candidate will develop electronic, mechanical, and coding designs that include circuit boards, firmware code, actuator specifications, and product designs. 

You will be responsible for collaborating cross-functionally with electrical, mechanical, firmware, driver, and other software teams in order to define prototype hardware to evaluate new technologies and features.


  • SOC's, microcontrollers, microprocessors (ARM), FPGA's 
  • Processor peripheral interfaces (PCIe, USB, I2C, SPI, storage, high speed serial I/F's) 
  • High-speed signaling and camera electrical protocols (e.g., MIPI, LVDS, SDI) 
  • Sensors and transducers 
  • Power supply design 
  • Some analog electrical design 
  • Strong working knowledge of Signal Integrity and Power Integrity 
  • Strong working knowledge of best practices for PCB layout and construction 
  • Experience in taking designs through manufacturing 
  • Propose, negotiate, and design EE solutions to achieve functional and performance objectives
  • Work independently and lead deliverables to align with dynamic project goals
  • Design & schematic capture of digital and some analog electrical circuits and systems
  • Lead and review PCB layout
  • Build proof-of-concept and initial prototype hardware
  • Facilitating the successful completion of an automated material handling system
  • Installing, testing and debugging of the system
  • Modifying equipment and software
  • Troubleshooting, defining and seeking resources to recognize and resolve electrical, mechanical and/or software improvement opportunities with system components.
  • Making software and hardware adjustments
  • Performing customer training
  • Customizing service manuals
  • Interfacing with customers
  • Collaborating with other engineers on projects
  • Traveling domestically and internationally to customer sites.


  • BS in Electrical, Robotics or Computer Engineering, or equivalent 
  • 3-5 years of hands on experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience with ECAD software, OrCAD, Eagle, Altium, or equivalent
  • Prior software experience required
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Excitement about robots and a startup environment 

Nice to Haves

  • Familiar with SQL, a plus, Familiar with mechanical CAD, a plus
  • Familiarity with robotics or motion control or PID control systems
