The Production Supervisor will be responsible for meeting Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery targets for all production and fabrication projects at the Tucson facility.  This person will lead a group of fabricators and technicians, including holding status meetings, and holding all parties accountable for quality and delivery. This role is for a dynamic, self-starting individual with great attention to detail and excellent people skills. This is a full-time position located at our facility in Tucson, AZ.


This is a full-time position located at our facility in Tucson, AZ, with periodic travel to our R&D facility in Huntington Beach, CA.


A typical day might include the following:

  • Supervise a team of fabricators and technicians.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan the design and fabrication steps to complete each project.
  • Produce timelines for each project, and be able to provide a status at any time.
  • Ability to produce simple presentations regarding the status of each project.
  • Understands the principles of lean manufacturing.
  • Holds daily kick-off meetings where everyone is assigned tasks with milestones.
  • Understanding, focus, and enforcement of workplace safety.
  • Must have a good understanding of general fabrication techniques, such as welding, machining, metal-working, etc.
  • Ability to predict time and manpower required to complete requested projects.
  • Must be able to have one-to-one discussions with technicians/fabricators, and generate development plans as needed.
  • Ability to work with vendors to outsource fabrication of parts, when required.
  • Responsible for ensuring their respective department has the proper tools and equipment for the jobs being worked on.
  • The supervisor will often be asked to provide their opinions on specific designs, tooling, or processes, and this will require frequent interaction with the Engineering department.
  • Maintaining and enforcing 5S throughout the workshop.


This job might be for you if you have these:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, secondary degree beneficial.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or fabrication shops.
  • Must have strong team building skills and the ability to motivate a team.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office products.
  • Willing to travel [approx. 10%] to Huntington Beach, CA facility to support R&D, etc.
  • Ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.
  • Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
