DevOps Engineer at Turo

We are looking for brilliant senior DevOps engineers who have a passion for consumer products and want to join an energetic team that is changing the way people think about travel. We ship code daily, A/B test extensively, and have a primary role in building the supporting platform to take a product from inception to implementation. There’s much to do, and you’ll be responsible for making some real cool stuff happen.

Our APIs, content delivery, and micro services are at the core of our stable of software that’s reinventing mobility. Be a member of a small team of talented engineers and play a major role in shaping an exciting app that’s changing how people travel and think about car ownership.

Your profile

  • You have 3-5+ years of building production systems in AWS / GCP
  • You have both Docker and Kubernetes experience
  • Your have 2+ years of Terraform experience
  • You know common networking architectures
  • You have an understanding of network meshes (especially in Kubernetes)
  • You’re familiar with Infra / application monitoring and tracing software like NewRelic, SumoLogic, DataDog, CloudWatch, StackDriver, etc
  • Your comfortable writing shell scripts and at least one common infrastructure scripting languages like Python, Ruby, or Perl
  • You have experience codifying your infra with tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
  • Your security consensus and always consider how changes impact to the org’s security posture
  • You have experience with isolated networks inside sub-accounts
  • Your comfortable with being on call, and are phobic of alert fatigue


  • Your an active contributor to an open source project
  • You can write not just Terraform code, but inspec code to test with
  • Your an expert in one of the following: Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, Linux
  • You have experience with JupyterHub, especially on Kubernetes
  • You’ve built CI/CD pipelines
