SendBird is looking for an Office Manager for our rapidly-growing headquarters in San Mateo, CA. We believe that the Office Manager role is essential to workplace happiness and productivity and are looking for someone who can connect our core values to the way our office is run.
 
In this role, you will be responsible for creating an office management strategy that brings out the best in SendBird employees, candidates, and guests as they walk through the door. You will work cross-functionally to manage our office’s daily operations, organize company events, and take on any other task that keeps our office running smoothly. WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Go above and beyond to create an office experience that inspires and delights all employees and guests.
  • Collaborate and bring new ideas to make our office representative of our people and culture.  
  • Own day-to-day office operations to ensure that the office is running smoothly while maintaining tidiness in all office areas so employees can be productive and bring their best selves to work.
  • Be the go-to person for anything office related, including but not limited to maintenance, supplies, and equipment.
  • Greet guests, maintain visitor registration, and receive and distribute mail and packages.
  • Determine and manage the best vendors including, but not limited to, catering, snacks, etc.
  • Partner with the People & Culture team to manage and refine new hire on-boarding and plan and execute creative employee-related events (i.e. anniversaries, birthdays, employee milestones, off-sites, etc).  
  • Be the liaison between the building owners and manage all facilities functions, including janitorial, utility providers and IT Services on an as needed basis.Assist recruiting with interview scheduling, video conferences, and onsite interviews.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
  • 3+ years of experience in an office management or administrative role in a fast-growing company.  
  • Start-up experience a plus! Demonstrate experience in facilities, hospitality and/or organizational management.
  • You’ve worked with and overseen external vendors - janitorial, food services, catering, etc.
  • You have event planning experience, including parties, corporate events, and employee engagement activities.
  • You have a deep understanding of how an office environment impacts corporate culture, productivity and retention.
