People & Culture Generalist at SendBird

We are looking for a driven and proactive HR Generalist to join the People & Culture team at SendBird and be a champion of SendBird's culture, values and employee experience. The Generalist will be a thought partner on all things people and culture and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of HR Operations (administration of people policies, procedures and programs).
 
The role will be the first People hire reporting to the Director of People & Culture and will have the opportunity to support in the development and implementation of systems and processes that enhance the employee experience. We are assembling a dream team and are eager to meet driven candidates who crave impact, thrive in ambiguity and want to experience a start-up shifting into hyper-growth.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Champion our core values, participate in the development and execution of People & Culture roadmap, and create “moments that matter” throughout the employee journey.
  • Manage HR operations-related processes including benefits, administration/compliance, and assist with payroll processing.
  • Manage the process, data collection, and reporting for the various tools and systems we use to capture employee data, ensuring a high degree of accuracy.
  • Provide People & Culture support across the business and serve as point of contact for general benefit, HR questions.
  • Participate in development and execution of People & Culture roadmap. Coordinate key people programs such as: feedback and development processes, compensation planning, pulse surveys, benefits and perks, L&D initiatives, etc.
  • Oversee new hire orientation and onboarding including scheduling training sessions, preparing new hire packets, administering background checks, etc.
  • Partner with Recruiting, Director of P&C and outside counsel to manage immigration matters.
  • Drive efficiency by selecting and implementing HR technology tools that help us automate operational tasks (including payroll provider and HRIS tool).
  • Handle HR and compliance-related employee issues and ensure controls are in place and procedures are followed for periodic review of compliance with all applicable laws.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
  • B.S. or B.A. degree and 3+ years of relevant, progressive career experience.
  • Working knowledge of multiple Human Resources disciplines including employee relations, talent development, compensation, and employee engagement.
  • Basic knowledge of HR policies and laws.
  • Experience with a wide-variety of systems and tools (Greenhouse, Lattice, HRIS systems, etc.)
