Airspace Systems, in conjunction with the military, has developed a leading airspace security solution with tremendous potential to do real and meaningful good in the commercial and civilian sectors. As of February 2019, the company has been cleared to sell and deploy the solution for commercial use. The Airspace Galaxy security platform uses AI and advanced robotics to provide immediate detection and identification of all drones present in a large airspace, enabling a quick response. The company plans to include drone mitigation – the capture and safe removal of unauthorized drones – as part of a comprehensive solution in the near future. 

 

Today, users for the detection and identification of drone traffic include airports, corporate and academic campuses, entertainment facilities and franchises, utilities, large commercial real estate operators and civil safety providers. To capitalize on a window of opportunity to become the leading provider of airspace security in these commercial and civil sectors, venture and strategic investors have just provided substantial additional funding to Airspace Systems. The company is seeking to quickly build a top-notch management team to execute on a succinct vision in a rapidly emerging market.

 

Role

 

The Executive Assistant will play an integral part of the CEO’s day-to-day activities. The ideal candidate can navigate and dynamic, complex entrepreneurial environment, prioritizing incoming requests, driving projects and managing administrative duties. As a trusted partner to the CEO, you will be a confidante on all topics related to company strategy, operations and staffing. You will manage all administrative duties including email, calendar and travel management as well as strategic projects and tasks to support the CEO. You will regularly communicate with stakeholders internally and externally. You will work with the CEO closely to maximize efficiency and time utilization. Responsibilities

 

Own the CEO’s administration needs end-to-end

Support the CEO in all aspects of day-to-day execution

Act as an effective intermediary for the CEO with staff, Board and external stakeholders 

Prioritize all incoming requests for the CEO; make decisions to process them efficiently

Manage a complex, dynamic schedule and calendar with efficiency and confidentiality

Review, organic and track incoming mail, email, phone messages and event invitations

Manage domestic and international travel; communicate itineraries with stakeholders

Prepare and organize materials, facilities and logistics for meetings and events

Build relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally

Operate with a high level of confidentiality and discretion

 

Requirements

 

8+ years relevant experience, including 4+ years supporting a CEO or C-level executive

Flexible – Thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment 

Articulate – Exhibits exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Proactive -- Anticipates the needs of the CEO and creates systems and processes necessary to accomplish them

Organized -- Outstanding planning, organizing and time management skills

Independent -- Excellent independent judgment and decision-making skills, with an ability to offer alternative viewpoints in a productive, team-oriented manner

Proficiency in office productivity and collaboration tools and applications

Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience
