Our Finance team is growing, and we are looking for a talented, driven, detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join our team at our San Carlos headquarters! You are a team player and willing to do whatever it takes to ensure our US payroll is processed on a timely and accurate basis, as well as overseeing all payroll related activities and special projects. You enjoy a fast-paced and fulfilling environment and thrive on maintaining accurate employee data to ensure compliance of all regulatory requirements.

    • Have a Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations.
    • Have Experience with Paycor Payroll Systems and ADP Workforce.
    • Be able to work independently with general supervision.

    • Be excited to build a better Payroll process to support our talented TPC team!



      • Process multi-state bi-monthly payroll in Paycor for all US employees while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
      • Manage payroll change process – raises, retro pay, benefit deductions, transfers and terminations.
      • Process tax changes, direct deposits, garnishments, 401K loan repayments, deduction goals, and retroactive adjustments.
      • Ensure that all non-exempt employee timesheets are approved by supervisors in a timely fashion, and timesheet data is processed accurately.
      • Enter Time and Attendance adjustments as needed, prepare manual checks for terminating employees, and ensure accurate and timely preparation of W2s.
      • Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient customer service to employees who have questions regarding their pay, deductions, the payroll process, or the expense reimbursement process.
      • Prepare journal entries and monthly reconciliations.
      • Assist with the year-end audit and regulatory filings.
      • Ad-hoc projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:


    • 3-5 years’ experience processing payroll in a fast-paced, preferably high-tech environment.
    • FPC or CPP & APA or CPA affiliation a plus.
    • Knowledge of Paycor and ADP Workforce.
    • Ability to learn and adapt to new process flows and software technologies.
    • Self-motivated, flexible, deadline-oriented and able to complete tasks with limited supervision.
    • Ability to think creatively and critically and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often changing Healthcare start up.

Desirable Qualifications:


    • Experience working in a Technology / Healthcare environment.
